Certified Professional in Learning
and Performance (CPLP)...
Are you an L&D professional looking to build and validate your skills and differentiate yourself in a competitive job market? If so, then the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) is the credential for you! If this is something you’ve considered, make 2016 your year! The ATD Piedmont chapter is partnering with both the ATD Rocky Mountain and ATD West Virginia chapters to host a virtual CPLP study group beginning February 16th. This study group has been recognized by the ATD Chapter Recognition Committee as a best practice model and is provided free of charge to our chapter members. Non-members interested in participating can join the group for a nominal $50 fee.

Prior to the 16th, we will offer two information sessions to help you understand what the credential is all about and answer all of your questions about the process and study group. Both of these will take place virtually on Tuesday, February 2nd and Tuesday, February 9th from 7:30p - 9:30p. The study group will meet  for 13 weeks, also on Tuesday evenings from 7:30p - 9:30p and will end prior to the May/June Knowledge Exam testing window. In Memoriam...
The community lost an advocate and friend with David Richards. David passed away on Friday January 22. He was loved and admired by many, and a dedicated professional in the talent development field. He created the OD Portal to curate resources for training professionals, served as a mentor and leader on the TD Piedmont board for three years, was CPLP certified, and led global learning positions with Sara Lee, Kodak, Hanesbrands, and most recently GE. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in David's name.
