The ATD Piedmont Board of Directors consists of members who are elected by the membership each year. These roles include the President, President-Elect, Past President and the Vice Presidents of Operations and Finance, Membership, Marketing and Communications, and Professional Development.
In addition to our Board members, we encourage and invite those interested in volunteering to assist with promotion and work of the chapter.

PresidentJanelle "Nelle" Howell is a trainer, coach, consultant, and public speaker with over 15 years of experience. Her expertise spans diverse sectors, including non-profit, private, education, and government. Janelle holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications and a Master's degree in Organizational Development and Leadership. Her academic achievements have laid the foundation for her exceptional contributions to talent development. Janelle's visionary philosophy of talent development focuses on empowerment, enthusiasm, and innovation. She has made impactful contributions in various roles, including positions at prestigious institutions such as the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, PSECU, and the Girl Scouts of America. With her consultancy, Training by Nelle LLC, Janelle excels in employee enablement, training strategy development, corporate training branding, and instructor-led training.
