CPTD At a Glance

The CPTD is a professional certification for Talent Development professionals with at least five years of experience. The CPTD measures a professional's knowledge and skill application across the breadth of talent development capabilities.

Successful CPTDs report that the process of studying and getting their CPTD designation was a tremendous growth opportunity, allowed them to both learn and give back to the profession, and made a positive impact on their careers.

Based on the ATD Competency Model, the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential provides talent development professionals the ability to prove their worth to employers and to be confident in their knowledge of the field.

Benefits to obtaining CPLP certification include: building and validating your skills, increasing your earning potential, differentiating yourself in the job market, broadening your career opportunities, and joining and elite professional community.
